Unfortunately things break. This press can be broken if too much pressure is applied to the lever. The connectors buckle this protects the rest of the press so are “sacrificial” parts.

The fix is quite simple. Drill out the rivet head, remove the rivet and old connectors.

The repair kit includes two new connectors and two sets of nuts and bolts to secure in place.
